What happens when two junior NYC creatives who can’t drive are given the opportunity to work on social media for the world’s smallest car?
It was 2015. What an era. The prevailing social calendar directive at the time was “celebrate every obscure holiday.”
Fine then, sir. This car is small and we have a lot of turning radius jokes for Pi Day and the five times a year when brands across the internet celebrate #NationalDonutDay (not to be confused with #NationalDoughnutDay).
Anyway, in order to celebrate the holidays our social media coordinators made up, my copy partner and I conceptualized and created an assortment of fun illustrations, animations, activations, contests, and lil’ social campaigns featuring the lil’ smart car. These range from a custom-illustrated Earth Day tote bag, to the #smartItFits contest, which challenged smart car owners to park in the tightest spots they could find.
